Jack: “First Grade is too easy.”

Emily: “Do you want  me to ask your teacher to give you more challenging work?”

Jack: “No,”

Emily: “I thought you might say th- “

Jack: “-because that will just be too easy for me, also.  Everything is always too easy, but I could invent new math problems and try to solve them myself.”

Emily: “Uh, okay.”

Jack: “The stuff in my brain is challenging. I’ll save the easy stuff for school.”
